The consultation examined the water sector’s contribution to a coordinated national approach to drowning prevention.

ADAAM participated in the Ministry of Water and Environment’s stakeholder consultation on a water-sector drowning prevention strategy on 27 August 2026. The discussion considered how sector planning could align with the wider national strategy.

ADAAM’s policy work during this period included a policy brief shared with the National Programme Coordinator on 3 August and a SWOT analysis of the draft national and water-sector strategies shared with GHAI on 14 August. These products supported review and dialogue on institutional roles, gaps and practical next steps.

Continued sector follow-up is intended to bring consultation feedback into the government-led national process.
